ABOUT

Classically trained soprano Natalie Trumm shows versatility in genres ranging from pop to opera. On the concert stage, Ms. Trumm performed the role of Marian Paroo from Meredith Wilson's musical The Music Man with the Southeast Iowa Symphony Orchestra. She returned to perform the role of Julie Jordan in Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical, Carousel, the following year.

Ms. Trumm is a current Resident Artist with American Opera Projects Composers and the Voice Program ('23-'24) in Brooklyn, NY. Most recent performances include Papagena from The Magic Flute with The Norwalk Symphony Orchestra conducted by Jonathan Yates. As a two-year returning Studio Artist with the Chautauqua Opera Company, Ms. Trumm performed the role of Florestine in John Corigliano's Ghosts of Versailles as well as Barbara in Vid Guerrerio's Figaro! 90210. The Chautauqua Daily described her voice as a "nice dark lyric instrument sounding like a future Susana: exactly right".

In her first year at the Bard College Graduate Vocal Arts Program, she received great acclaim for her interpretation of the role of Cunegonde in Bernstein’s, Candide, claiming to have “stopped the show in her spectacular aria ‘Glitter and Be Gay’” with The Orchestra Now, conducted by James Bagwell (Hudson Valley One).

Ms. Trumm holds a Master of Music in Vocal Arts from the Bard College Graduate Vocal Arts Program and a Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point
